Company starts in house delivery service
Using a one time use code a new delivery service will drop packages off inside your home.

How it's supposed to work is that when the delivery driver arrives, they ring your doorbell. If there's no one home and you have one of that company's smart locks, they'll send the driver a one time use code to unlock your door and place your package inside.

They don't seem to understand why this might be a bad thing...
Giving a random company a one time use code to anyone's house at a time when they aren't home? How could this go wrong?

I mean even for basic stuff, what if the homeowner has a security system that has to be disabled? So their door opens and the alarm beeps to say "enter the code". When the code isn't entered the police are going to get called.

Though supposing they didn't have an alarm system, they just let a stranger into their house to wander around and pilfer. People might not think it strange to see a delivery driver leave a home with a box...
